Chelsea’s scouting department has not stopped scouring the market for their next signing, despite the window coming to a close. Now, the Blues are tracking a striker who has impressed Fabio Capello.
Chelsea have plenty of strikers up top, so much so that Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu and Liam Delap were all sold by the Blues in the summer. Emmanuel Emegha has arrived at Chelsea but is yet to even play.
Nevertheless, a new striker is on Chelsea’s radar largely thanks to Ruben Amorim’s treatment of him. The Blues are considering a move for Francesco Camarda, Milan’s teenage four-time Italy international.
It is not the first time Chelsea have looked into signing Camarda. They considered luring the teenager to Stamford Bridge when he was just 15. Right now, he is contracted to Milan until the summer of 2031.

But Camarda is expecting much more game time under Amorim. So far this season, he has been afforded just eight minutes of game time, remaining unused in three of Milan’s five Serie A games this season.
This guy is a stubborn mule. He got rid of Chalobah, who's been a reliable and kingpin in the defense and strengthened in other areas but in defense.
This is a player with huge potential, already winning four Italy caps. A player who has caught the eye of former England manager Fabio Capello, who recently said he is capable of having an impact at Milan.
“I see a lot of potential in Camarda; he knows how to move in the box and has a lot of quality. It’s right that he’s finally given the chance to break through. Allegri also wanted to keep him in the squad last year.
“There’s always too much skepticism with young players in Italy; we need a bit more courage. It’s impossible to know when a young lad is ready if they’re never tested,” Capello said, as per Football Italia.
Chelsea have an advantage over Spurs in Camarda race
The Blues are not alone in pursuit of the striker, with Tottenham, Brighton and Brentford also interested in signing the teenager. However, Chelsea have a two-fold advantage over their rivals in signing Camarda.

The first is the relationship between Chelsea and Milan, with the latter benefiting from Chelsea’s business model and cashing in regularly. Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, and plenty more.
