Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is about to sign a new contract at the club, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Gunners have also reached a further important agreement.
Arsenal and Arteta have been aligned for some time on continuing together on their current journey, with the confirmation of a new deal a matter of when, rather than if.
The Gunners had made a stunning start to the season prior to Saturday's trip to Brighton and Hove Albion, winning all seven of their matches in all competitions.
The 3-0 slip-up against the Seagulls was unexpected given how the north London had looked in the opening weeks of the campaign, and was a big wake-up call ahead of the three-week international break.
Arsenal clearly can't afford to rest on their laurels this season if they are to not only retain the Premier League title, but go one better in the Champions League and win that too.
What is clear is that Arsenal and Arteta have got something very impressive going, and they can enjoy a lot more success together.
Tying Arteta down will be a huge boost for club chiefs and bad news for their rivals in England and in Europe, given how good these players have been under the Spaniard in recent seasons.
According to Romano, posting on X on Tuesday evening, not only is Arteta penning new terms, but all of his backroom staff will sign new contracts with the agreement for those already 'done' too.

While no names are revealed by Romano, it would be safe to assume that the likes of Albert Stuivenberg, Nicolas Jover, Inaki Cana Pavon, Miguel Molina and Gabriel Heinze would be in line for new deals.
Stuivenberg has been Arteta's number two for years, Jover has proved to be a game-changing appointment following Arsenal's success with set pieces, while keeper coach Pavon has helped David Raya establish himself as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
Molina will be vital to helping Arteta out-smart his opposition managers, while Heinze clearly had an impact after joining the coaching staff last summer, ahead of the Gunners' first Premier League title win since 2004.
Aside from Heinze, the others last signed new contracts less than 18 months ago, seven months after Arteta had penned his current deal at the Emirates.
Arsenal fans will hope this continuity will only help the players on the pitch, with a big response needed after the international break, when they face Leeds United in the Premier League and Lille in the Champions League at the Emirates in the space of three days.
