CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday afternoon have reportedly added two guards in a three-player trade with the Atlanta Hawks days before training camp starts.
ESPN’s Shams Charania said on Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Hornets traded forward Dorian Finney-Smith to the Atlanta Hawks for guard Buddy Hield, guard Ryan Nembhard and cash.
Hield is one of the top shooters in NBA history has he ranks No. 15 overall in career-three pointers made with 2,201.
The trade with the Hawks comes days before the Hornets start training camp on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The Hornets already have guards, Coby White, Sion James, Dennis Schröder, Grayson Allen, Kon Knueppel and rookie Christian Anderson.
Hield played in 51 games last season for the Hawks and Golden State Warriors averaging 16.1 minutes,7.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Hield shot 43% from the field and was .35% from behind the arc.
Nembhard played in 60 games last season with 27 starts for the Dallas Mavericks while averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.
The Hornets traded star player LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the offseason in exchange for center Naz Reid and a handful of draft picks.
Reid has averaged just under 12 points points per game in seven NBA seasons, mostly coming off the bench.
