Chelsea now have nine senior players away on international duty after Cole Palmer withdrew from the England squad.
Xabi Alonso’s side do not return to Premier League action until Bournemouth visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday 10 October.
That gives Chelsea an extended period at Cobham, while the players away with their countries face a demanding run of Nations League fixtures and international travel.
Cole Palmer withdraws from England squad
Palmer will remain with Chelsea after withdrawing from England duty because of an injury issue.
England officially confirmed that Palmer was one of five players ruled out of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
The Chelsea forward had been recalled after missing the World Cup squad but will now focus on recovery at club level.

Morgan Rogers remains with England and is available for the four Nations League fixtures against Spain, Czechia and Croatia.

João Pedro had already withdrawn from Brazil duty through injury.
Chelsea gain larger Cobham group
Palmer’s withdrawal means Alonso has another key player remaining at Cobham.
He joins Reece James, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto, Moisés Caicedo, Jordan Henderson, Jamie Gittens, Pep Chavarría and Marco Palestra among the senior players currently not away on international duty.
ReadChelsea has already looked at the group Alonso has available at Cobham as he works to fix the problems exposed in the 3-0 defeat at Brentford.
The break should also give Palmer time to recover without the additional load of four England fixtures.
