The Pistons, Bulls and Spurs added to their training camp roster by signing players on Tuesday, according to Tony Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.
Detroit inked Jordan Riley to a camp contract (Twitter link). The 6’4” wing went undrafted this June out of East Carolina, where he earned All-AAC First Team honors as a senior. Riley also passed through Georgetown and Temple before playing his final two seasons of college ball with the Pirates. He averaged 23.6 points, 6.0 rebonds and 2.5 assists along with 1.9 steals in 37.7 minutes per game last season.
Chicago brought in guards Houston Mallette and Peter Suder (Twitter link). Mallette played three seasons at Pepperdine, then landed in Alabama. Last season, he appeared in 35 games for the Crimson Tide (12 starts), averaging 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per contest. He made 37.2% of his 3-point tries during his college years.
Suder had a two-way deal with the Lakers but was waived in July. Suder, who went undrafted out of Miami (Ohio) in June, was named MAC Player of the Year after leading his team to a 31-0 regular season. He averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 33 games while shooting 54.6% from the field and 42.1% from 3-point range.
The Spurs added rookie guard Miles Barnstable, per Garcia. Barnstable played last season at Tulsa, starting 38 games and averaging 14.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30.3 minutes. Barnstable made 40.6% of his 3-point attempts.
Presuming all four players signed Exhibit 10 deals, they’ll be eligible for bonuses up to $91K if they play at least 60 games for their team’s G League affiliate.
