Michael Jordan's Fingerprints Might Be On The Celtics This Season image

Joe Mazzulla recently got some advice from someone who knows a thing or two about winning.
According to Brian Scalabrine, who won a championship with the Boston Celtics and is now a television analyst for the franchise, Mazzulla met with none other than Michael Jordan this summer.
Scalabrine added that it was "second-hand" knowledge.
"Jordan told Joe, ‘The reason why I kept winning is because I acted like I never won,'" said Scalabrine. "If you act like you've never done anything, then you're hungry to continue to get it."

Jordan certainly isn't a bad person for Mazzulla to consult. Widely regarded as the greatest player of all time, Jordan won six NBA championships, six Finals MVPs and five MVPs in his legendary career.
Only nine players have won more NBA championships than Jordan: Bill Russell, Sam Jones, Tom Heinsohn, K.C. Jones, Satch Sanders, John Havlicek, Jim Loscutoff, Frank Ramsey and Robert Horry.
Scalabrine also said Jordan's former coach, Phil Jackson, was part of the meeting with Mazzulla.
It's unknown what Jackson told Mazzulla, but he also knows what it takes to reach the mountaintop. He won 11 NBA championships as a head coach and was named one of the 15 greatest coaches in NBA history as part of the league's 75th-anniversary celebrations.
Perhaps some of that advice will come in handy if Mazzulla leads the Celtics to another title.
