Liverpool sits sixth in the Premier League standings as the first international break arrives — with some of Andoni Iraola's players impressing, and others with work to do.

‌

So far, the Reds have beaten Ipswich and Bournemouth in the league, drawing with Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Fulham. There have also been victories against Atletico Madrid (Champions League) and Tottenham (Carabao Cup), giving Iraola a record of four wins from seven overall.

‌

Only players who have made more than one appearance are included, so the likes of Giorgi Mamardashvili and Joe Gomez are spared. Here is how Liverpool.com has rated the Reds so far this term.

Alisson Becker (7). He hasn't always been that involved in matches, but he has done what he has needed to in the main when he has been called into action. Excellent against Bournemouth; almost made a costly error against Fulham. A definite improvement from last year when it comes to his kicking.

Ronald Araujo (7). Slotted in brilliantly at right-back, where he is slightly limited going forward, but very steady at the back. The role should be his moving forward, with Iraola having stumbled upon a solution.

Jeremie Frimpong (5). Struggled defensively and in an attacking sense and has lost his spot in the side. Lots to prove to get his full-back berth back again.

Jeremy Jacquet (8). Like Araujo, he has been seamless in his transition. Still only 21 years of age, he looks to have everything required to go to the very top. In the context of him having only just arrived in England, exceptional.

Virgil van Dijk (7). Very steady and has been helping those around him through the early weeks of the season. Cool, calm, collected.

Milos Kerkez (6). Mixed. Certainly not as bad as some would have you believe, but still with a lot of work to do before he reaches the heights that he produced at Bournemouth again.

Kostas Tsimikas (5). On his one start, he passed the ball out of play several times and was hooked at half-time. His score is saved by a couple of steady cameos off the bench.

Dominik Szoboszlai (6). His goal against Spurs will live long in the memory, but he has not always been great. Even in that Tottenham game, he was quite poor aside from that strike. His place in the starting XI isn't under threat, but he will need to improve fairly soon.

Alexis Mac Allister (8). Looking much more like the levels he reached the season before last when Liverpool won the Premier League title, he has been very good. Having the carrot of a new contract dangled appears to be working, though it remains to be seen whether or not he gets one.

Trey Nyoni (7). Some would argue he deserves more minutes. Whenever he has played, he has looked right at home.

Ryan Gravenberch (5). He started the season in the team but quickly lost his spot and doesn't look anywhere near getting it back at the moment. Nyoni came off the bench ahead of him last time out.

Rio Ngumoha (6). He looks much better on the left than the right, but will have to play both roles. Fine, but nothing more at the start of the new campaign.

Cody Gakpo (8). It feels ludicrous now that he might have left during the summer. The Dutchman has been very strong in the opening weeks and though he might have to play on the right more often than is ideal, there has to be a place for him.

Florian Wirtz* (6). *The Bournemouth game was his worst performance and he needs more goals and assists, but there has been good stuff too. The Champions League win over Atletico Madrid shows it can click for the team, but it needs to do so much more often.

Lewis Koumas (7). He has looked very impressive in cameos, and put in a hell of a shift against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup. A genuine squad option.

Bradley Barcola (6). It is still early in his Liverpool career and so it is understandable that he is getting up to speed. Yet to score or assist, but has looked lively.

Victor Munoz (7). The Spaniard looks electric when he has the ball at his feet. Scored a great goal against Nottingham Forest and will be pushing for more starts.

Alexander Isak (7). There hasn't been a great deal beyond the goals, but he has four in five in the league. Keep up that hit rate, and Iraola will have no grounds for too many complaints.
