While Jalen Duren hasn't accepted the Detroit Pistons' latest $200 million offer, talks of a potential sign-and-trade remain with the Sacramento Kings being named as one of the landing spots and Domantas Sabonis as the piece that would be moved.
However, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Kings and other teams in the league have a different view of Sabonis' trade value, which might be why the Lithuanian center hasn't been moved yet.
"The Kings have been maintaining that they view that Domantas Sabonis has positive trade value, that they would need a draft pick to come back in a deal, which I just don't think is plausible right now," he said.
"For my conversations with rival executives around the league, many do not think that Domantas Sabonis has positive trade value, that they would need to be compensated in order to take on the remainder of his contract, because in this NBA, you have to evaluate a player on what his extension could look like."
Fischer then reveals that many teams around the league do not want to trade for Sabonis by sending out draft picks and having to extend him for about $45 or $48 million, once they acquire the center.

According to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, if the Pistons choose to make a sign-and-trade with the young center, the Sacramento Kings and the Milwaukee Bucks are the two places that are emerging in conversations.
"The two most likely spots, I guess you could say for Jalen Duren, are the Kings and the Bucks, simply because of these matching scenarios, where you have Domantas Sabonis as a player that the Kings have already offered in a sign and trade for Jalen Duren this offseason," he said.
A potential trade that would send Sabonis to the Pistons and Duren to the Kings has been discussed all offseason and it seems that the talks are not dying down.
