Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly introduced several regime changes since taking charge of the Germany national team. Klopp had been out of managerial work since his departure from the Reds in the summer of 2024, and is now in charge of his country’s national team.

‌

The 59-year-old has spent the last 18 months as the global head of football for Red Bull, but has now returned to the dugout. Klopp has begun overseeing training for the first time since his Liverpool exit more than two years ago.

‌

Germany will have four Nations League fixtures over the next three weeks, while the extended international break takes centre stage in the football world.

‌

Klopp gets his tenure underway with four games, which will include an away trip to face the Netherlands, a home clash against Serbia and a double-header against Greece.

Sport Bild have provided insight into the changes that the former Liverpool boss has made since replacing Julian Nagelsmann as Germany manager, which includes four new rules.

The report has claimed that Klopp has introduced a rule requiring Germany’s players to arrive for dinner at the team hotel together at the same time each evening, typically 7pm or 8pm.

Klopp has also introduced a rule barring families from accompanying players at all times during major tournaments, instead this will only be allowed on an occasional basis.

The former Liverpool boss has also reportedly introduced two bans that will affect members of the Germany national team. Players will no longer be able to have mobile phones on matchdays, and will also no longer be allowed to have a haircut while at the team hotel.

Klopp confirmed the 44 players he called up to the Germany national team for his first squad earlier this month, with Liverpool star Florian Wirtz getting included.

The former Liverpool manager spoke about Wirtz’s form for the Reds this season, defending the £116million signing after confirming his first Germany squad as the national team’s boss.

“The communication has been very pleasant,” Klopp said last week. “We keep in touch from time to time.

“I think he's the player who covered the most ground at Liverpool this season, so the willingness is absolutely there.

“We have to move away from the idea that we need to see special moments from him. He is there to help us as a team. We have to make sure that Flo feels comfortable with us.

“When the team works, then every player shines as a consequence. You have to be satisfied with a game in which Flo Wirtz gave everything but didn’t have a goal or assist.

“We simply have to give the boy the feeling: ‘That was more than good enough today. You helped us as a team. We won 1-0 or 2-0’.

“And then all the experts sit there and discuss why it still didn’t work out for him. There are just as many reasons to say: ‘He is performing perfectly fine.’ Now we’ll take the next steps together. That applies for Flo and all the others.”
