Newcastle United are set to be roared on by more than 7000 away fans when they take on Everton in the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next month.

‌

The Magpies will travel to Merseyside on Thursday, October 29 after booking their place in round four by beating Millwall 1-0 earlier this month.

‌

United always take a famously strong away following wherever they go, but have been handed a 15 per cent allocation by the Toffees for the tie.

That means a total of 7,732 tickets should be heading Newcastle's way, with Geordie masses set to descend on Liverpool.

EFL rules dictate that home sides must offer at least 10 per cent of their capacity to visiting teams, but Everton have taken the bold step of increasing that allocation for Newcastle.

They offered Sunderland a similar number for last season's FA Cup third-round tie in January, which led to another bumper crowd at the new stadium.

The game will be the first of two against Everton in quick succession, with David Moyes' men heading to Tyneside for the Premier League showdown just days later, on Monday, November 2.

Newcastle have played at the Hill Dickinson only once before, winning last season's Premier League encounter 4-1 in what was one of their best performances of the season.

Two goals from defender Malick Thiaw and further efforts from Nick Woltemade and Lewis Miley gave Eddie Howe's side a comfortable away win on their first visit to the stadium.

Everton booked their place in round four of the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 win over Championship side Wolves, while United's victory over Millwall came after a first-round success at home to West Brom,

The two sides met in pre-season at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, with Everton beating a new-look United line-up 3-1.
