Arsenal U18s went into the international break following three consecutive wins, which emphasised the considerable improvements that have taken place at that level this season.
Under the guidance of new coach Josh Smith (who previously worked as an assistant to Adam Birchall), Arsenal U18s have looked more solid defensively and have also often played with much flair and demonstrated an attacking threat.
At times in recent years a lack of central striking options has been something of a problem for Arsenal U18s.
Now, however, the problem for Smith will be how he utilises the array of attacking options that are at his disposal.
U16s prospect Jaden Maghoma has been hugely impressive of late while playing above his age group, while the likes of Marley Frohock and Jayden Oba are also capable of playing centrally.
The club have also recently signed two highly rated young forwards, bringing in Mylo Bernard from Crystal Palace and Vincent Joseph from Liverpool, both of whom are England youth internationals.
Joseph can also play as an attacking midfielder but it will be very interesting to see how Smith configures his team and ensures that each player gets the game time that they need.
Arsenal U18s will return to action on October 17th when they are at home to Tottenham, which will give Smith plenty of time to consider how his team will line up.
