Chelsea broke their transfer record in the summer window by signing Morgan Rogers for £117million and the 24-year-old has been excellent for the Blues in the early parts of the season

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy thinks Morgan Rogers has started to repay the faith the Blues showed in him over the summer but has called on the ex-Aston Villa man to show his level on a consistent basis.
Chelsea splashed out a whopping, record-breaking £117million on bringing the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge in July. At such a mammoth price, Rogers became the most expensive British footballer in history, with the Blues pipping Arsenal to his signature.
It has seemingly been a seamless transition for Rogers after switching Villa Park for Stamford Bridge. In his first five Premier League appearances for Chelsea, the £117m signing has bagged three goals and recorded one assist. In the Carabao Cup, Rogers has three assists to his name - all coming in the 6-3 victory over Leeds United earlier in the month.

It has been some start for Rogers but there is more to come, according to Cundy.
Cundy was asked in an exclusive interview with football.london whether, based on the evidence so far, Rogers looks set to be the signing of the summer window. While the former Chelsea centre-back was reluctant to make such a statement, he has been very impressed with Rogers' showing so far in blue.
"Signing of the summer? Listen, he came for a huge price-tag. Signing of the summer is a big statement," Cundy said. "I think what it's done from a Chelsea point of view, it's given us a three-pronged attack and I say three-pronged because it's obviously Joao Pedro up top, Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Estevao can be in that as well.
"He [Rogers] has shown why Chelsea had so much faith in him but it's about consistency; it's about every week doing it. So far, so good.
"A lot of people raised their eyebrows at the price, including me, but it's about delivering. At the moment, he's delivered.
"Another thing is that he looks like he is enjoying himself. In football, sometimes you can't tell if players are enjoying themselves. He's with Cole Palmer. There seems to be a real comradery about that front three.
"As a Chelsea fan, it's great to see them doing what they're doing and scoring plenty of goals. But my problem is: he can't play centre half. Our problem isn't that end, it's down the other end."

As part of the campaign, Prostate United conducted a survey of 2000 British male football supporters aged 45 and over, commissioned by TENA Men, and asked them to select their all-time Premier League XI from a shortlist of more than 100 former players aged 40-plus.

Cundy said: "Having experienced cancer myself, I know how difficult it can be to talk about health issues, but the data shows just how important those conversations are.
"While I'd have liked to see a few more Chelsea players included, this is a truly legendary XI that many men over 45 grew up admiring. Sport has a unique ability to bring people together, and initiatives like Prostate United can help encourage more open conversations about men's health."
Asked by football.london who the Chelsea players were that he was referring to, Cundy listed Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. "You're talking about that, and I think you've got to talk about 2012, Bayern Munich, 19th of May," said Cundy.
"Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and John Terry was on the bench because he was suspended."
