**Opening:** Quickly looking back at Sunday’s win over the Texans---we get an imaginary, yet real to me tie-breaker poker chip to put in our pockets after the first week! We rarely rely on head-to-head tie-breakers for playoff scenarios these days, but it’s nice when we get the victory and the chip in our pocket. Hopefully we treat these invaluable simulacrums against the Chargers, Chiefs, Ravens, (Raiders?), and Denver like Pokémon in the wild and collect them all! We love to make a statement in week one games apparently. Whew, that was fun. One Rumbler who is probably having the most fun this week as he gains the first spot on the wall this year is Buffal-Oblivious. He may not be super aware of what’s going on all the time, but he goes high here when most went low to nab a victory. And I thought my 32-22 guess was being generous to both teams, lol. Congrats Buffal-Oblivous, with a sublime guess of 31-29 you have proven without a doubt that close enough is sometimes good enough to win horseshoes, hand-grenades and Predict the Score!
**Week Two, Lions at Bills:** Another matchup of animals best left to roam the wild as the Detroit Lions come to town licking their wounds against a herd of charging Buffalo seeking to have a signature statement win in their new digs. One Republic comes to town to tell the city that they don’t have to apologize to anyone this year as we all get to forget our worries for a night and celebrate the good life. It’s going to be a night to remember. The Lions would love nothing more than to play spoiler.
**Bills 48, Lions 18:** OK, this prediction is clouded by the rose-colored glasses that I’m wearing. Unbridled enthusiasm runs rampant on the sidelines as this monster offense is unleashed against a weaker defensive opponent than the one we faced in Houston. Josh Allen only throws for 325 yards and 3 TD as he is watching from the sidelines most of the fourth quarter. The DBs finally wake up and grab a pair of interceptions, while Chubb makes his presence felt.
**The Shiv:** Week Two, Coming off a win that I expected, The Bills open their new Fortress against the Lions on Thursday night.
Offense: **keep the ship moving** in the right direction. It would be easy to rest on dropping 36 on the leagues supposed best defense, hopefully this coaching staff keeps them focused. Especially on a short week. The Saints had a good time attacking the Lions linebackers on Sunday. My goal would be to establish the run early. Transition that into using the TEs to get into the areas the linebackers vacated. The Bills will have **to score points** to beat this Lions team. So **sustaining drives will be the key**. Aiden Hutchinson is a stud and needs to be accounted for. As of writing this, it looks like the Lions might be down a few safeties which would open up my gameplan even more.
Defense: I tend to agree with Jim. The Bills were millimeters away from running this defense the way it should be. The problem is the variances range from excellent to poor without a middle ground. I’m assuming that doesn’t get all the way corrected in three days time, so I’ll make my defense part short and sweet.
**Make your GD tackles**….
Look this Lions offense is going to get theirs. They are in that elite status. I don’t think anyone can hold them down. However, if you can tackle, you can contain them. The key will be the Bills offense driving minutes off the clock and not letting Goff get his chances.
**Buffalo 38/ Lions 34**
I believe this will be a shootout. Short week on primetime lends to Choas. Bills are healthy, Lions aren’t. Buffalo walks out 2/0.

**Hype Poster:** Is it Thursday night yet? I can’t hardly wait. Oh really, it’s _can_ grammar checker? Whatever, but the fact is- I can’t. The Bills are bringing the party to Western New York and you’re all invited. It’s going to be the most unforgettable moment ever. I just hope they remember to sign the yearbook to have this moment to cherish forever. Move over Keon, there’s a new WR1 in town and he’s invited his friend Dalton to come along. I still have faith in Keon, but our receiving corps is a true strength now for the first time in a long time. Deone Walker is giving the DC a little pep talk to unleash the D against the Lions.
**Closing:** Thursday night games mean one thing for me. The time to turn this article over has shrunk considerably. So, apologies if I’m still flying high after that epic Battle of the Chattle Sunday (that was just yesterday for me) and filled with overflowing optimism for our home/stadium opener in just a few quick days. That was fun, even though a soft alarm was ringing throughout that game over our new defense. Breathe, Relax, Worry-slightly, but commit to them getting better in a new system and then grade them accordingly after a month, not a week…we got this and **_happy prognosticating!_**
