Marc Casado’s recovery from a fractured collarbone will be partly overseen by Barcelona, with the midfielder returning to the club’s Ciutat Esportiva as he begins a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
According to SPORT, Casado travelled to Barcelona after undergoing surgery on his right collarbone and visited the club’s training complex in Sant Joan Despi alongside family members.
He is expected to spend a significant portion of his rehabilitation working under Barça’s medical staff.
The 23-year-old joined Deportivo La Coruña on loan this summer in search of regular first-team football, but his plans have been disrupted by the injury.
Casado begins three-month recovery in Barcelona
Casado suffered the fracture during Deportivo’s match against Real Betis and subsequently required surgery. His expected recovery period is around three months, ruling him out for a substantial part of the campaign.

It is crucial to note that his return to Barcelona does not mean a change to his loan arrangement.
Instead, Barça are monitoring his progress while allowing him to use their medical facilities and expertise during the rehabilitation process.
Barcelona will monitor Casado’s progress
The injury is particularly frustrating given why Casado moved to Deportivo in the first place.
The midfielder completed the switch on the final day of the transfer window after finding opportunities at Barcelona difficult to secure.
The loan was designed to give him consistent minutes and allow him to continue developing through regular senior football.

Instead, his first months in A Coruña have been interrupted by a serious setback.
Casado has already taken the first step by returning to Barcelona and beginning the rehabilitation process.
The coming weeks will therefore be focused on recovery, strengthening and gradually rebuilding his physical condition before he can think about returning to competitive action.
The target is to complete his recovery properly in Barcelona, return to Deportivo when cleared and make up for the valuable playing time the injury has taken away.
