The Dallas Cowboys are 1-1 through the first two games of the season and their third is set to be a doozy.
This week the Cowboys will travel to Brazil for a “home” game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Cowboys are the designated home team for this one, but instead of taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, it will be played at Maracanā Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The NFL is all about international growth.
Field concerns have been a storyline since the Cowboys finished their last game, a 37-20 victory over the division rival Washington Commanders. This game will be very different as the Ravens present one of the greatest duo challenges to a defense, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Last week, Dak Prescott became the Cowboys’ all-time leader in passing touchdowns, but he is going to have to throw plenty of them for Dallas to stand a chance in this game. CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson each had a pair last week, but we are still waiting for George Pickens to find the endzone for the first time in 2026.
The defense will be the main story for the Cowboys. Caleb Downs has played well in his first two games, but Christian Parker is going to have to get more from the likes of Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, and others along the defensive front.
It should be quite the matchup.

The black clouds have temporarily disappeared for the Dallas Cowboys. After the shocking performance in Week 1 versus the New York Giants, they rebounded nicely with a win over the Washington Commanders.
They managed to even their record at 1-1, and the offense looked more like how it should be, minus the running game that is still struggling. The defense is still a mixed bag. They were certainly improved over the Week 1 performance, but they are not yet to the standard that would make this team a true contender.

Both the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens likely just want to get back on the field in week three, for opposite reasons. The Cowboys have a chance to build momentum following a 37-20 win against the Commanders, and the Ravens are off a loss they let slip away to the Saints. Unfortunately, the actual safety of the field these teams will be playing on in Brazil is a concern that’s not going away as the game approaches.
No contingency plan is being made for a potentially inadequate playing surface in Brazil on Sunday.

In case you forgot, this is a unique week for the Dallas Cowboys. They have a “home” game in Week 3 where they will “host” the Baltimore Ravens, but these things are taking place at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Dallas Cowboys got the bounce-back win they needed by beating the Washington Commanders 37-20. Dallas evened their record at 1-1 while doing the same within the NFC East. They did it on a night when Dak Prescott passed Tony Romo to become the all-time franchise leader for touchdown passes. All in all, a good night.
Now, the Cowboys have to do something new. Play a game in Brazil against the Baltimore Ravens. This will be a unique experience for both teams. The Ravens are 1-1 after losing to the New Orleans Saints, at home. That was a pretty surprising score.
