Green Bay Packers Teammate Doesn't Hold Back About Jordan Love 1
Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers were able to avoid a nightmare start to the 2026 NFL season. Following their collapse against the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, the Packers trailed the New York Jets 17-7 in the fourth quarter of Week 2.
Thankfully, the team was able to rally and pull out a 20-17 win over the Jets.
Nothing has looked pretty to begin the year. Love has been under constant pressure due to poor offensive line play. Through two games, however, he has been able to throw for 532 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception, although he has completed just 52.1 percent of his pass attempts.
Despite the rough start to the year, Green Bay still has faith that it can be a Super Bowl contender. One of Love’s teammates has spoken out before Week 3 action on Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons with strong words about his quarterback.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love Lands Strong Message from Teammate
As shared by Vince Lovergine of Fox 11 News, tight end Jonnu Smith is clearly a big fan of his new quarterback. Smith was signed to a one-year deal just before the start of the regular season and has been impressed with Love thus far.
“He’s a true QB1. Just a great leader,” Smith said. “He’s got a natural feel for alleviating a lot of pressure in the huddle. He’s as talented as a thrower that I’ve been around.”
Over the years since Love took over as the starter from Aaron Rodgers, the expectation has been that a breakout season is coming. So far, Love has failed to have the true MVP-style breakout that fans and the media have wanted to see. He has remained one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, but he hasn’t taken the full leap to “elite” status.
Love has played in 59 games throughout his NFL career. He has completed 63.7 percent of his pass attempts for 12,067 yards, 87 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions. Those numbers show why there is so much belief in Love’s ability.
Only time will tell whether or not the 27-year-old quarterback can take that leap this season. The year is off to a rough start, but Love has found a way to continue making plays under pressure. If the Packers can get their offensive line issues figured out, he seems primed for a big season.
Fans will get their next look at Love on Thursday night against a Falcons team that has started the year 0-2. It will also been the home opener for Green Bay at Lambeau Field.
Hopefully, Love and the offense can get back on the right track. Moving to 2-1 would help fans forget more about the Week 1 debacle against the Vikings.
