New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is expected to have knee surgery that will end his 2026 season, according to multiple reports.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report that Dart is expected to make a full recovery.

Rapoport adds that Dart’s ACL is intact and he is soliciting opinions on the injury, but surgery is coming.
Dart exited Monday’s primetime game against the Los Angeles Rams after taking a high-low hit on his left knee. He exited the game and did not return, with Jameis Winston taking over for the Giants under centre in their 28-6 loss.
On Monday, Giants head coach John Harbaugh refused to confirm reports that the 23-year-old’s injury was worse than the initial diagnosis of a sprained MCL and that Dart would be out an extended period of time, with season-ending surgery a possibility.
“We’ve learned a lot more,” Harbaugh told reporters. “When we know what direction we’re going to have to go or whatever it might be, we’ll announce that. But we don’t have that yet, so I don’t want to get out over our skis on that.”
Dart was 3-of-5 passing for 20 yards before being injured on the first drive.
