The “Trump curse” has already ruined the New York Giants’ season, some media types said after star quarterback and Donald Trump admirer Jaxson Dart got injured.
Some took it harder than others.
“The fucking Trump curse strikes again,” wrote Tara Setmayer, a former GOP communications director on Capitol Hill and CNN commentator.
Hopes for a quicker Dart return were dashed when reports revealed more damage in his knee than originally thought, perhaps ending his season.
Dart sparked team dissension in May when he gushed over the president while introducing him at a rally. He hugged the president, and Trump lauded his “legs like tree trunks” and called him a “beautiful guy.”

That was enough for superstitious types to pin the blame on the president ― facetiously or not ― after he allegedly jinxed the New York Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals and the United States and Argentina in the World Cup.
Film and TV critic John Rocha shared a photo of Trump and Dart’s interaction in a photo, writing, “Everything he touches, y’all. Everything he touches...”
The anti-Trump MeidasTouch X account noted that “The Trump Curse needs to be studied.” Its editor-in-chief, Ron Filipkowski, suggested he could foresee the onset of the curse when Trump lavished Dart with praise. “He had no chance this season,” Filipkowsi wrote.

Grant Stern, the executive editor of Occupy Democrats, gave damning praise to Trump’s alleged spell.
“Trump’s sports jinx is undefeated,” he wrote.
