The New York Knicks could make another trade before the start of the 2026-27 season, with Pacome Dadiet and Miles McBride emerging as the most logical candidates, according to James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.
Edwards believes New York could move quickly if it wants to add another center, keep one of the veteran guards brought into training camp, or convert Tyler Nickel to a standard NBA contract.
"Logic dictates that McBride and Pacome Dadiet could be the ones traded if New York takes this route," Edwards wrote, while adding that he would be surprised if McBride were moved before the season begins.
Dadiet appears to be the easier path.
"Moving Dadiet and a second-round pick or two could be the easiest solution for New York to open up another roster spot," Edwards added.

McBride decision could come later
McBride's situation is more complicated because he remains an important part of the Knicks' rotation.
At the same time, he is entering the final year of his contract and is expected to command a significant raise next summer.
Edwards noted that such a raise could be difficult for New York to afford if owner James Dolan remains determined to keep the team below the second apron.
"McBride improves New York's chances of repeating more than anyone it could bring in if he were to leave," Edwards wrote. "But this is a business, and the Knicks can't afford to not get anything for both McBride and [Mitchell] Robinson."
Last season, McBride averaged 12.0 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 41 games, while Dadiet posted 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds in 29 appearances.
