Celtics' Payton Pritchard, Paul George Get Polar Opposite Contract Predictions image

The Boston Celtics are predicted to have one of the NBA's best contracts this season. They're also predicted to have one of the worst.
Ahead of NBA training camp, Bleacher Report predicted the five best and five worst contracts this season.
Payton Pritchard, who is on a four-year, $30 million contract, was ranked as one of the league's best-value contracts.
"Give the Boston Celtics some truth serum, and even they would admit they didn't see Payton Pritchard's four-year, $30 million extension becoming this big of a bargain," Bleacher Report's Greg Swartz wrote.
Pritchard will make $7.8 million in 2026-27 and $8.3 million in 2027-28. He'll soon be eligible for a three-year extension worth roughly $69 million.

On the other end of the spectrum, Paul George, who is on a four-year, $211.6 million contract, was ranked as the league's worst contract.
"Paul George will be the most overpaid player in the NBA this season. It may not be close," Swartz continued.
"George not only ranks 11th in salary but also in age (36) among players currently under contract. That's a dangerous combination, especially when factoring in durability and a declining overall game."
To rub salt in the wound, Swartz wrote that the Jaylen Brown-Paul George trade is "shaping up as one of the most lopsided trades in recent memory, in Philadelphia's favor."
George will make $54.1 million in 2026-27, the 11th-highest salary in the NBA. The 10 players who will earn more than him include Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics landing on the list for opposite reasons makes for quite the contrast.
