Celtics Sign Guard Who Was A Defensive Menace in College image

The Boston Celtics continue to make additions to their training camp roster.
According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Celtics have signed Hayden Gray to a deal.
Gray went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft after spending two seasons at Azusa Pacific and two at UC San Diego. He averaged 11.2 points, 3.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game in his final season at UC San Diego, earning Second-Team All-Big West and Big West Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Gray was also one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award.

The 6-4 guard joined Boston's Summer League team in 2025. The Celtics later waived Gray but retained his G League rights.
Gray played for the Maine Celtics and appeared in 35 games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 10.5 points, 6.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 29.7 minutes per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field. He set Maine's single-season steals record.
Gray signed a multi-year contract with the Utah Jazz in April 2026. He appeared in one game, finishing with six points, one assist, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.
Gray is now back with the Celtics as they prepare for training camp.
