New York native Azzy Milan is evolving her relationship with New York-based brand Steve Madden with the “Alter Egos” campaign, which launched on Monday.
The IMG model, media personality, content creator, podcast host and daughter of Fat Joe tries on different fashion personas for the new Halloween-focused campaign.

“It’s really exciting to evolve my relationship with Steve Madden and get to work with the brand in a new way,” Milan told FN. “I’ve always loved how fashion can let you experiment with different sides of yourself, and this campaign really gave me the opportunity to do that with the different alter egos.
“It feels special to be able to grow alongside a brand that allows me to be creative and have fun with my style. They’ve been a huge supporter of me in the beginning of my content creation journey, and it just feels very full-circle,” she said.

Without relying on traditional costumes and with a focus on Milan’s personal style, she transforms into six personas for the campaign including Office Siren, Vampire, Biker Baddie, Alley Cat, Retro Glam and Disco Baby. These takes on Halloween dressing are grounded by statement footwear styles, including the Maxine black lace boot, Nitro red croc knee-high, Jezzica zebra platform, Hexx spotted leopard pump and Icon faux-fur boot.

“It was so much fun because I got to step into completely different versions of myself,” Milan said of the campaign. “I love playing with fashion and trying on different personalities through what I’m wearing, so Halloween felt like the perfect excuse to really go there. I definitely had a hard time choosing a favorite because every look had its own personality, but I love a good pump. Give me something with a heel, and I’m ready!”

The campaign is the next chapter in Milan’s relationship with Steve Madden, which kicked off earlier this year around the return of the brand’s archival Morals boot. She donned the stiletto lace-up boot style with a Patrick Ewing Knicks jersey dress at a Knicks finals game, calling them her “Lucky Morals.” The partnership has so far garnered more than four million social views, and Milan also hosted the brand’s Meet Me in New York launch event at its 34th Street store.
On developing her own style, Milan said, “I think my personal style has really developed from just experimenting and figuring out what makes me feel the most like myself. I’ve never wanted to follow every trend just because it’s popular. I definitely identify with being a glam person, so I love being overly accessorized, having my hair done, and adding those little details that make an outfit feel like me. My style is ever-evolving, but I think that’s probably the most fun part!”
