Arsenal fans will need to wait patiently for their team to return to action as the international break begins. The Gunners' next fixture isn't until mid-October, when Leeds visit the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta will need his side to bounce back when domestic action does resume after they finished the first round of Premier League matches with a dismal loss to Brighton. The reigning champions were downed easily by the Seagulls as they ran out 3-0 winners at the Amex Stadium.
There are more tough tests on the horizon for the north Londoners, with visits to Bayern Munich and Liverpool coming up in the month after the international break concludes.
Julian Alvarez plot
Arsenal could make another move for Julian Alvarez in January with a potential loan move being plotted. Spanish media has reported via The Standard that the transfer may be revisited by the Gunners, after they failed in a summer move for the £128million-rated forward.
The Argentina international was keen on an exit from Atletico Madrid but preferred a switch to Barcelona. However, Diego Simeone's side refused to allow the striker to head to their La Liga rivals for any price.
Thousands of fans upgraded their Premier League matchday last season. This is how they did it.

With Alvarez having been consigned to the bench in La Liga since the summer furore, a loan deal could reportedly be possible when the next transfer window comes around.
England coach urges patience
England U21s manager Lee Carsley has urged patience with rising star Max Dowman. Carsley expects to see the teenager progress into his squad after being called up to the U19s this month, but claims he is not going to push the 16-year-old into any higher age bracket right now.
Discussing Dowman's international future, Carsley said: "He's definitely an outstanding talent. It's inevitable that he's going to be with the Under-21s because of his talent. But we have to make sure we do that at the right time, that he comes away with us and plays minutes and competes with the other players that are in his position.

"We had a similar issue a few years ago with Ethan Nwaneri. He was early and he made his debut and he's done really well but there's that tendency to push him on quickly. We have to be patient and make sure that ultimately we want them to play for the senior team for a prolonged period so we have to make sure we get the time right with that."
So far, the Arsenal winger has appeared 10 times for the U19s and made seven goal contributions, showcasing his natural talent to compete with far more senior stars.
