Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (27) talks with guard Christian Braun (0) and center Nikola Jokic (15) in the fourth quarter against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center.
With just a few days to go before the start of training camp, the Denver Nuggets have kept busy with roster decisions.
A few days ago, they signed Cam Whitmore to a two-way contract. On Wednesday, it was reported that the Nuggets are interested in picking up Ryan Nembhard once he gets waived by the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are expected to release Nembhard after acquiring him, along with Buddy Hield and cash considerations, from the Hawks in exchange for Dorian Finney-Smith.
It appears the Nuggets have already made room for Nembhard with its anticipated move on Boopie Miller, as reported by The Stein Line's Marc Stein.
“Denver today indeed went the sign-and-waive route with Boopie Miller after first signing him to an Exhibit 10 deal. But the Nuggets have secured his NBA G League rights in the process to set up the former SMU guard to join their Grand Rapids affiliate,” wrote Stein on X.

Miller still has a chance to play for the Nuggets if he gets called up from the Grand Rapids. He, however, will have to battle for minutes with Jamal Murray, Tyus Jones, Julian Strawther, and KJ Simpson.
The 23-year-old guard, who went undrafted in June, had a long journey in college. Aside from SMU, he also suited up at Central Michigan and Wake Forest. He averaged career-highs of 19.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.6 steals in his final year with the Mustangs.
Some players of the Grand Rapids who eventually suited up for the Nuggets include Strawther, Peyton Watson, Spencer Jones, DaRon Holmes II, and Jalen Pickett, to name a few.
