The Revolution made their British League debut in 2007 and have since seen more than 1,000 players pull on the jersey, with three going on to represent Great Britain at national level.
The club has also collected multiple Conference titles and Division 2 Championships along the way, including title-winning seasons in 2017 and 2023.
Now, as it heads into its 20th season, the club is continuing to grow its teams and expand the number of age groups able to play American football across the county.
Hickory’s Shrewsbury has supported that journey for several years, with the relationship extending far beyond the field and now being supported by Hickory’s Telford following the smokehouses’ opening in 2025.
Alasdair Jarvis, head coach of Shropshire Revolution, said: “The Revolution are delighted to continue our partnership with Hickory’s in Shropshire.“Hickory’s support has been invaluable in helping us grow our sport within the local community, and we can say for sure that our big linemen don’t mind the amazing BBQ food either!”
The partnership is part of Hickory’s wider support for grassroots American football across the UK ;however, in Shropshire it has developed into a relationship spanning players, families, celebrations and some of the club’s biggest moments.
Oliver Parrish, general manager of Hickory’s Telford, said: “We couldn’t be prouder to support Shropshire Revolution as they head into their 20th competitive season.
"It’s a club with a brilliant history and an exciting future, particularly as they continue to create opportunities for more young people and adults to play the sport across Shropshire.
“The fact that the Revolution have celebrated every Super Bowl with us since we opened in Shrewsbury in 2019 means a huge amount. It’s about much more than a name on a jersey - there’s a real sense of team spirit and community behind the partnership.”
