Josh Allen is two games into the 2026 season and already has two FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week awards. The Buffalo Bills quarterback won the Week 2 honor after leading Buffalo to a 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions in the first game at the new Highmark Stadium. He also won the award for Week 1 against Houston.
Allen completed 20 of 31 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns against Detroit. He added 69 yards and two more scores on 14 carries, accounting for five of Buffalo’s touchdowns. That performance earned him AFC Offensive Player of the Week award, too.
Allen was selected from a Week 2 FedEx field that also included Bills running back James Cook, quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes, and receivers CeeDee Lamb and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba joined Allen as this week’s other winner after catching nine passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns for Seattle.
The FedEx awards carry an impact beyond the field. Each week, FedEx donates $2,000 to Feeding America in honor of each winner, for a $4,000 weekly total benefiting local food banks in the winning players’ cities. With Allen winning in both Week 1 and Week 2, that means two donations made in his honor to a local food bank to start the season.
