**Arsenal Invincible Lauren has backed Christos Tzolis to have a very successful career at the Emirates.**
The Greek international’s form has tailed off after a bright start, but speaking to [_Betarades.gr_](https://www.betarades.gr/thrylos-tis-arsenal-exigei-giati-o-tzolis-dyskoleyetai-stin-premier-league/), Lauren said he has seen enough signs from the winger that he can adapt well to the Premier League:
“I am sure that he is going to be one of the best players for Arsenal, no doubt about that. He will improve by playing on this level on a regular basis, and good players perform no matter where they play. If you are a good player, it doesn’t matter where you play.”
“It is also about understanding the philosophy, which is about the way Arsenal play and the speed/circulation of the ball and the movements. It takes time sometimes to adapt, but good players can adapt in any league, and he is one of them. He is a very good player.”
How has Tzolis fared so far?
----------------------------
Since joining from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34m in July, the 24-year-old has yet to find the back of the net for his new club, but he has contributed 4 assists in 8 appearances.
It is fair to say that Tzolis has had his good and bad moments. His debut against Manchester City in the Community Shield was excellent, as he created 2 goals during the 3-0 win. However, he was also hauled off at halftime by manager Mikel Arteta against Aston Villa a couple of weeks later.
Arsenal need more competition on the left
-----------------------------------------
The Gunners sold both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, and only replaced the pair with Tzolis. The thinking was that [**Eberechi Eze**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-news-eberechi-eze-alan-smith-exclusive/) could also get minutes on the wing, but the 28-year-old has really struggled to make an impression in that position this campaign.
There is a good chance that the Premier League champions will go into the market in the New Year to further strengthen that area of the pitch.
