Arsenal are eyeing one of the most remarkable coups possible in the Premier League.
Indeed, it has been reported in recent days that Arsenal are interested in signing Rio Ngumoha from Liverpool.
Ngumoha is largely considered one of the best young talents in the country, and it’s been a long time, if ever, that a star this young has been poached from a direct rival at this point in their career.
Arsenal would be making a hell of a statement if they signed Ngumoha from Liverpool, but, unfortunately for Mikel Arteta’s side, it doesn’t sound like the winger will be looking to leave Liverpool anytime soon.

How Rio Ngumoha feels at Liverpool
According to Steele, speaking on Anfield Index, Ngumoha is incredibly happy at Liverpool right now, and the club want him to be the face of their future.
Ngumoha isn’t close to signing a new deal, which does leave the door ajar for Arsenal, but, by the sounds of it, there would have to be a minor miracle for Ngumoha to be convinced to leave Anfield.
“We know that there’s other clubs sniffing around the Ngumoha situation. We know that Liverpool are pretty much saying nothing other than we love Ngumoha and we want him to stay.
“We want him to be the face of our future or one of the faces.
“So I think that’s pretty much it. I think Ward is going to be looking into doing it. When I checked about a week ago or maybe was it two weeks ago that I was told by you know people in different parts of you know the deal as it were that it wasn’t it wasn’t done just yet.
“But I think if from what I heard, Ngumoha is happy at Liverpool and he wants to continue at Liverpool and he’s loving life at Liverpool.”
Of course, joining the Premier League champions is an incredibly appealing prospect for any player, but if Ngumoha has been promised to be the face of Liverpool in the future, you have to understand why he may not be prioritising a move to the Emirates.
