Fresh off his investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers, Pablo Torre has developed a reputation as won of the best investigative journalists working today. Now, Torre's latest investigation centers on former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow.
Torre published a report in which he helped investigate a faith-based conference company, which uses athletes like Tebow to headline conferences that are then used to "scam" its attendees. Tebow has built a post-football career around his faith, and this report certainly punctures a hole into his career choices.
Tebow is not the only celebrity as part of this investigation, but he is the one that Torre has decided to use as the name in the report. That makes the former Heisman Trophy winner the next subject on Torre's podcast.

On Thursday morning, Pablo Torre released his latest episode of "Pablo Torre Finds Out," which was centered on former quarterback Tim Tebow's involvement in Life Surge faith-based conferences that use "predatory tactics and high-pressure sales to upsell attendees."
Tebow is often a speaker at Life Surge events as he has found a career in using his Christian faith to try help and uplift others. Therefore, name being a part of these potentially dishonest conferences is a headliner.
Torre's latest report is in conjunction with Mother Jones.
The "scam" allegedly allows conference-goers to attend each conference for as few as $20, but during the events, the companies pressure visitors to pay for more expensive seminars or classes, referred to as "SurgeU," that can reach as much as $40,000. Tebow is among the athletes who have spoken at these conferences, along with celebrities like Magic Johnson and Joe Montana, and their fees for speaking at the events could reach up to $100,000.
In response to Torre's latest investigation, many people praised the journalist for going after these kinds of conference scams.
A few others, meanwhile, believe Tebow isn't to blame for these "scams" and criticized Torre for going after him.
Tebow's faith has made him a polarizing figure in sports, which dates back to his time as the star of the Florida football team. Despite not seeing much success in the NFL, he kept his star status with him and is still in the public space as either an analyst or through using his faith to try and help analysts.
