**DETROIT** – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today the club acquired the returning rights to forward Romeo Weems from the Rip City Remix. In exchange, Motor City sent the returning rights to guards Quincy Olivari and Jordan Wright and center Charles Bediako to Rip City.
Weems, 6-7, 215, is entering his sixth NBA G League season. During the 2025-26 season, he played 42 games with the Rip City Remix, averaging 7.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.7 minutes per game. He also appeared in two playoff games, averaging 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals. Weems began his NBA G League career with the Memphis Hustle, playing two seasons with the club before being selected by the Remix in the 2023 NBA G League Expansion Draft. In five G League seasons (2021-26), he has averaged 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 166 career games.
Prior to his professional career, Weems played two collegiate seasons at DePaul (2019-21), where he helped the Blue Demons earn a pair of wins in the 2020 and 2021 Big East Tournament and averaged 7.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 50 games. A Detroit native, Weems was a four-year varsity player at New Haven High School, where he helped the Rockets win the 2017 Class B state championship and four regional titles. He finished his career as New Haven's all-time leading scorer with 2,151 points and was named Michigan's 2019 Mr. Basketball, prior to his collegiate career.
Olivari, 6-3, 200, spent the 2025-26 season with the Motor City Cruise and made 27 appearances with the club. He averaged 12.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 22.8 minutes per game, while shooting 43.0 percent from the floor.
Bediako, 6-11, 225, spent the 2025-26 season with the Motor City Cruise and made 16 appearances with the club. He averaged 4.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 15.1 minutes per game, while shooting 56.4 percent from the floor.
Wright, 6-6, 230, began his rookie campaign with Motor City during the 2024-25 season before signing overseas for the 2025-26 season. In 26 appearances with the Cruise, he averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 20.4 minutes per game.
