Defending Premier League champions Arsenal will face high-flying Leeds United when the competition returns after the international break.

Mikel Arteta’s side had started the new campaign flawlessly, prior to a shock 3-0 defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion in their last outing on Saturday.

The Gunners sit second in the top flight table at present, three points behind leaders Manchester City.

Ahead of the international break, though, it is being reported that one of their most expensive signings is a target for a huge European side.

As per Turkish Football, via CaughtOffside, Galatasaray are interested in struggling Arsenal forward Viktor Gyokeres.

The report from Turkey claims that the Super Lig giants have identified the Swede as a potential transfer target, amid his struggles in north London.

Gyokeres, 28, joined Arsenal from Portuguese side Sporting CP in the summer of 2025, having netted 54 times in 52 matches during his final season in Portugal.

Last term the Sweden international scored 21 goals for the Gunners in all competitions, but this season he has started just two matches for Arteta’s side – against Napoli in the Champions League and Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup third round.

It is suggested that Galatasaray are considering an approach to sign the attacker when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Super Lig side are said to be contemplating either a loan move, or a slightly more complicated structured transfer.

Gyokeres’ current contract at The Emirates is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, but his future in the capital has been thrown somewhat into doubt.

So far this term, the former Coventry City man has played just 207 minutes of football for Arteta’s side.
