Jurgen Klopp has gone viral after his first match as Germany's head coach by producing a satisfying moment that involved triggering his team's press against the Netherlands with a single hand gesture.

Die Mannschaft were held in Klopp's opening game in charge, denied all three points by Cody Gakpo's late equaliser on Thursday night. The Liverpool star's goal cancelled out Felix Nmecha's first-half strike in Amsterdam, meaning the points were shared in the opening matchweek of the 2026 Nations League.

Germany appointed Klopp as their new manager following their embarrassing World Cup exit at the hands of Paraguay on penalties, which prompted former boss Julian Nagelsmann to resign.

While the iconic coach didn't kickstart his tenure with a win, there are clear signs that he's already implemented his identity on his new team.

Jurgen Klopp's Pressing Gesture Goes Viral

It can be difficult for international managers to get their national sides working cohesively, given the short amount of time they have to work with their players on the training pitch.

However, Klopp seems to have already installed his classic press with Die Mannschaft, despite only having a matter of days to train with his new squad.

During the Netherlands encounter, the tactician seemingly orchestrated Germany's press with a single hand movement. The 2014 World Cup winners were sitting stationary in their shape, before a backwards pass from the Dutch prompted Klopp's gesture, which got his entire team sprinting forward in a coordinated press.

This moment went viral, with many taking to social media to bask in the satisfying nature of the movement from Klopp.

While this cohesiveness didn't yield the result they wanted, the Premier League title-winning manager will no doubt be delighted with how in tune his team already looked.

They face Greece on Sunday in Augsburg, hoping to secure their first victory of the Klopp era.

Jurgen Klopp Has Set Four Rules in Germany Camp

According to Sport Bild (via the Express), Klopp has implemented four strict rules which he expects his players to adhere to. The manager is aiming to win major silverware with his nation over the next four years and believes discipline is key to achieving this.

The rules revolve around punctuality. He expects players not to use their phones in the lead-up to matches, while there's no room for haircuts and limited room for family time in these crucial hours before taking to the pitch. This is said to be a direct response to Nagelsmann's relaxed approach.

Klopp has also banned phone usage during warm-ups or during massages, encouraging socialising between teammates instead.

All four of these regulations are understood to directly contradict how Nagelsmann did things, as Klopp looks to change the culture around die Mannschaft.
