EAFC 27 officially launches on Friday, with Liverpool fans eagerly waiting to see how Andoni Iraola’s squad are rated on the new game.
As ever, the Reds have done a light-hearted reveal of the ratings, and though such videos inevitably bring memories of Diogo Jota flooding back, it is always fun to see how the Liverpool squad react to the numbers they are given.
This year, Rio Ngumoha has been the centre of some controversy, with both Conor Bradley and Milos Kerkez left stunned that the youngster has somehow been handed an incredibly high rating for his speed.
Bradley and Kerkez do not agree with Ngumoha’s speed rating
Though Jota was always the best at revealing his teammates’ ratings to them at the AXA Training Centre, other Liverpool players have now taken on that mantle.
This time, Ngumoha and Jeremie Frimpong were entrusted with the responsibility, with a special guest appearance from Hugo Ekitike.
After he made the step up to having a ‘gold card,’ and an overall rating of 75, it was appropriate to get Ngumoha involved, but having been given his own 81-rated card, Kerkez was stunned to learn that the youngster has been judged to be faster than him.
“What’s your pace?” Ngumoha asked the left-back. “84,” he replied. “Mine’s 90,” Rio hit back.

“What the ****!” exclaimed a visibly shocked Kerkez. “My goodness. It’s unbelievable he gets 90 pace. He’s fast with the ball, dribbling you know.”
Bradley was equally as surprised. The Northern Irishman is known for his speed, but was given a rating of just 79 by EA Sports.
“I’ve got to have more pace. 79?!” he said, disappointed, before asking Ngumoha what his own rating was.
“You’ve got 90?!” Bradley replied. “You haven’t got 90 mate. Not a chance you’ve got 90.”
Virgil van Dijk was once again rated as the best Liverpool player, although the Dutchman said he would have to ‘have a word’ with EA after seeing his rating drop from 90 to 89 and down again in the past two years.
