Barcelona spent all summer chasing Julian Alvarez but had to admit defeat in their pursuit of the striker after Atletico Madrid refused to sell.
There have been claims Barca could reignite their interest in the forward in the coming transfer windows, but Deco has seemed to suggest that won’t be happening.
“The story with Julián Alvarez is in the past, we have to look ahead, we’re happy with everything else,” he told reporters.
“I hope he’s doing well too, helping his club, and in the end, that’s what it’s all about. There are many deals, many signings that get done.”
After missing out on Alvarez, Barcelona have switched Raphinha to the No. 9 position and seen the Brazilian bang in the goals for Hansi Flick’s side.
The Catalans also brought in Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal and have seen the striker score twice in four substitute appearances.
