Clarence Seedorf is the latest big name confirmed for Game4Hope as former Everton and Liverpool players prepare to return to Goodison Park on Saturday.
The four-time Champions League winner will line up for the Rest of the World XI against Team Merseyside, with the charity game raising money for Everton in the Community and Shelter’s work tackling homelessness.
Seedorf joins a Rest of the World squad already containing some familiar names. Brazil greats Rivaldo and Cafu are involved, along with Jaap Stam, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Mustapha Hadji, Des Walker and former England international Rachel Yankey.
For Everton supporters, much of the interest will be at the other end of the pitch.
Which Everton players are playing in Game4Hope?
Tim Cahill will captain Team Merseyside, with Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka, Gareth Barry, Yakubu, Joleon Lescott and Louis Saha among the former Blues due to play.
They will be joined by former Liverpool players including Robbie Fowler, David James, Ryan Babel, Jari Litmanen and John Aldridge, with Everton great Peter Reid and Liverpool’s John Barnes jointly managing the side.
There are plenty of other familiar Merseyside names involved. Tony Bellew, Molly McCann, John Bishop, Big Zuu and actor James Nelson-Joyce are among the celebrities set to take part. Tinie Tempah will provide the half-time entertainment.

The game was originally due to be played at the Hill Dickinson before being switched to Goodison Park, giving Cahill, Baines, Jagielka and the other former Blues another opportunity to play at Everton’s old home.
Game4Hope kick-off time and how to watch
Game4Hope takes place at Goodison Park on Saturday 26 September, with kick-off at 4.45pm BST. The match will be shown live and free-to-air on 5, with coverage beginning at 4pm. It will also be available to stream through the broadcaster’s online service.
Tickets remain available through Everton, with the event also featuring family activities and entertainment around the game. The football is ultimately in aid of a more important cause. Money raised will support Everton in the Community and Shelter as they continue their work with people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across Merseyside and beyond.
