With Manchester City set to be found guilty on their 115 charges, every other Premier League club – including Arsenal – will be digesting the news.

City’s fight against potential punishments for breaching Premier League rules took a huge turn today when news broke suggesting they’ll be found guilty across the board.

The ramifications could be huge.

Financial penalties, relegation, stripped titles are all items that could be brought to the table.

And while Arsenal might not benefit directly from any sort of trophy stripping, this current group can at least hold its head higher than most.

Gykores he helped us win title on debut season, and the way arteta as treated him like a spare tyre, to throw away (the bosses usual way of treating players don't want anymore) his got a point to prove, and if we play to his strength 💪 he'll produce the goods imo.

Arsenal can be proud of beating City to the title before any punishments

For all the furore around this announcement today, there is one thing that won’t be taken away and that is that Arsenal are current Premier League champions.

While those who may end being handed a title back from City will take it, there will always be an asterisk against it.

For this Arsenal team though, nobody can take away last season’s success.

Arsenal beat City to the punch fair and square and crucially, with Pep Guardiola firmly at the helm and the world’s best midfielder, Rodri, very much involved.

That in itself is an achievement and ultimately, something that cannot be taken away.

City find themselves in a heap of trouble and on the surface, quite rightly so.

For Arsenal, it simply makes last season’s title win all the more sweeter.
