Barcelona summer signing Rodri has provided his take on the latest alarming developments at boardroom level at former employers Manchester City.
It has of course proven to be a potential landmark day in English football on Friday.
This comes after it was officially announced that Manchester City have been found guilty of all but one of the club’s 115 charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules.

Serious sanctions are now expected at The Etihad, with early speculation pointing towards anything from massive fines to points deductions and beyond.
Speaking during an appearance in front of the media this evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of ongoings at his ex-club was put to the aforementioned Rodri.
And the 30-year-old was open as ever in his response, confirming his hope that justice is ultimately served, albeit whilst quietly confident that Man City will in the end be cleared of any wrongdoing:
”We experienced a very similar situation in 2020. The legal process was comparable, even if the party that initiated the proceedings was different. Within the club, we were always given a sense of calm and confidence regarding the outcome of this matter. In the end, the club was acquitted. I simply hope that justice will be served, whatever the verdict may be. But knowing this club very well, I’m convinced that it will come through without any sanctions.”
