Former Green Bay Packers Star Gets Brutally Honest After Falcons Loss 1
The Green Bay Packers and head coach Matt LaFleur entered Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons hoping to quiet down the outside noise.
After the collapse against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 and a struggle to win in overtime against the New York Jets in Week 2, fans were frustrated. There were already calls for the Packers to make a change at head coach. Those calls grew louder after the 35-14 blowout loss against the Falcons.
Both sides of the football struggled. Jordan Love and the offense couldn’t move the ball consistently. The defense gave up 498 total yards of offense and couldn’t tackle anything. Once again, the offensive line was horrific.
Nothing is going right for Green Bay this season. There is panic surrounding the fan base.
With that being said, one former Packers star spoke out with brutal honesty about the team following their embarrassment against the Falcons.

Greg Jennings Gets Brutally Honest About Green Bay Packers
During an appearance on “First Things First” on Friday, Jennings made his thoughts perfectly clear about Green Bay. He has defended the Packers, but is clearly starting to give up hope.
“Booed at home? Giving up 35 points, 200+ yards? I may end up going into witness protection because I have stuck my entire neck out for this organization and for this team,” Jennings said.
Just three short weeks into the season, the realization is starting to creep in for Packers fans. Green Bay may just be a very bad football team.
LaFleur is a big part of the problem. However, general manager Brian Gutekunst also deserves a huge part of the blame. Both the head coach and general manager somehow received lucrative contract extensions after the brutal collapse in the Wild Card against the Chicago Bears last season.
No one knows what the future has in store for the Packers. Could changes be coming following the 2026 season if what has been seen so far continues? Will Green Bay simply mark it up as a lost season and run it back one more time in 2027?
Only time will tell. Next up for the Packers will be a difficult Week 4 matchup on the road against Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A 1-3 start would make things get much uglier in Green Bay.
