The first international break of the new season is here, and it may represent a perfect opportunity for Andoni Iraola to take stock of his start to life as Liverpool head coach so far.

‌

The Reds remain unbeaten under the manager, but there is still plenty of work to do in order to turn more draws into wins, alongside some more convincing performances across the board.

‌

While plenty of reflection will follow in the coming weeks, there are plenty of Liverpool stars who have jetted off across the world to represent their nations in the international break.

From Alexander Isak and Sweden to Trey Nyoni for the England under-20s, here's a look at the latest international roundup surrounding Liverpool's key stars.

Alexander Isak (Sweden)

Sweden was back in action on Friday, as Alexander Isak played the full 90 minutes for his side in a UEFA Nations League clash with Romania.

The Liverpool striker continued his fine form with a strike in the 20th minute, giving Graham Potter's team the lead.

Dennis Man equalized for the visitors just nine minutes later, but it was a finish from Arsenal's Viktor Gyokeres just before half-time that ultimately sealed a 2-1 win.

Bradley Barcola and Jeremy Jacquet (France)

Liverpool stars Bradley Barcola and Jeremy Jacquet started on the bench for France in its first match under new head coach Zinedine Zidane, as a clash with Turkiye was on the cards.

Kylian Mbappe struck in the 54th minute to give Les Bleus a lead, but it was a slender one at that. It wasn't until Barcola's introduction in the 77th minute that things looked more comfortable.

The winger made an impact, going through on goal and rounding goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, who handled the ball outside the box and subsequently got sent off.

France then held on for the victory against ten men, with Jacquet still waiting to make his senior international debut for now.

Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai (Hungary)

After missing out on a place at the World Cup this summer, Hungary was left frustrated with its return to international action against Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League.

Both Liverpool aces Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai started the encounter, which started off with Danylo Sikan giving Ukraine the lead just before half-time.

As the game drew on and frustrations boiled over, a poor challenge on the touchline sparked angry reactions from both Kerkez and Szoboszlai, leading to a brawl between both sets of players in stoppage time.

Whilst eventually separated, and with Ukraine reduced to ten men late on, Hungary couldn't find a way back into the game.

Trey Nyoni (England U20s)

Liverpool youngster Trey Nyoni made his return to England youth action on Friday, as he featured for the under-20s team against Italy at the Estadi Olympic Camilo Cano in Spain.

Goals from Jesse Derry, Mikey Moore, and Shea Lacey sealed a 3-1 victory for the side, while Nyoni played the full 90 minutes in what was his third time featuring for the under-20s age group.
