Kai Havertz Injury: Arsenal Forward Could Miss Four Weeks

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz could reportedly face up to four weeks on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury while playing for Germany.

Havertz was forced off after only 30 minutes of Germany’s Nations League clash with the Netherlands and has since returned to Arsenal for further assessment.

A fresh report, relayed by Daily Cannon, says there are fears the 27-year-old could be unavailable for as much as four weeks.

That recovery period has not yet been confirmed by Arsenal and should currently be treated as an estimate rather than a firm return date.

Kai Havertz could miss key Arsenal fixtures

If Havertz were sidelined for the full four weeks, he would be a major doubt for Arsenal’s first run of fixtures after the international break.

Mikel Arteta’s side return against Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on 10 October before facing Lille in the Champions League three days later.

Arsenal then travel to Nottingham Forest on 18 October before visiting Bayern Munich on 21 October.

The Premier League has confirmed the Forest trip for Sunday 18 October, while Arsenal’s official Champions League schedule confirms the Lille and Bayern fixtures.

A four-week absence from the date of the injury would therefore potentially place all four matches in doubt.

Arsenal still waiting for firm Havertz return date

Germany manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed after the Netherlands game that Havertz had been sent for scans.

The original Read Arsenal Kai Havertz injury update reported Klopp’s hope that the problem would not prove serious.

Further reporting now suggests a longer absence is possible.

Havertz has returned to London, where Arsenal’s medical staff will carry out additional checks before a definitive timetable is established.

That distinction remains important.

Reports of a four-week lay-off are concerning, but Arsenal have not publicly confirmed that Havertz will miss a month.

Gyokeres could receive Arsenal opportunity

Any absence would increase the importance of Viktor Gyokeres.

The Sweden striker scored the winner against Romania during international duty, ending his wait for a goal this season and providing a timely confidence boost.

Read Arsenal covered Gyokeres’ decisive Sweden goal earlier on Saturday.

Havertz has generally been Arteta’s preferred central forward, but an extended spell out would create an obvious opportunity for Gyokeres when domestic football resumes.

For now, Arsenal face a wait for firmer medical information.

The four-week estimate gives supporters an indication of the potential severity, but the club’s own assessment will determine whether Havertz can return in time for Leeds.
