Puka Nacua missed Week 2 due to injury, and he almost certainly won’t play in Week 3. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the BYU product quickly became one of the biggest draft steals in recent memory. Developing an immediate connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns on 160 targets. While injuries limited him to just 11 games in 2024, he bounced back in 2025 by recording a league-best 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. He made the second Pro Bowl of his career and earned First-Team All-Pro honors for his work.

There is no denying that Puka Nacua is one of the game’s best receivers, but the Los Angeles Rams will likely need to make do without him for another week, as he hasn’t practiced and is currently listed as doubtful. However, while he won’t help the Rams against the Denver Broncos, head coach Sean McVay said the star receiver could return as soon as Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Puka Nacua Injury Update: Rams WR Could Return Week 4

Needless to say, the Los Angeles Rams are at their best when Puka Nacua is on the field. However, this team is more than capable of surviving without him. While the Rams struggled to overcome jetlag in Week 1, the offense looked like its usual self in Week 2. Los Angeles dominated in the New York Giants, 28-6, as quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 22 of his 31 attempts for 327 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

Most of the offense went through Davante Adams, as the veteran finished the night with eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Assuming Puka Nacua doesn’t play in Week 3, Adams should once again be the leader of the passing attack. While he probably won’t put up another stat line that dominant, he should lead the team in targets and receiving yards.
