Trent Alexander-Arnold could make a return to the Premier League after all.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s dream move to Real Madrid has turned into a real slog. A shaky first season hampered by injuries ultimately cost him a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad, which was a massive reality check for the former Liverpool star.
Things haven’t improved much under Jose Mourinho either, with the Portuguese manager favoring Denzel Dumfries at right-back at times, despite making three starts.

Chelsea in talks with Trent Alexander-Arnold intermediaries
According to TEAMtalk, Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t looking for an exit from Real Madrid just yet, despite a handful of Premier League heavyweights sniffing around.
Intermediaries have contacted Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, and even his former club Liverpool, but the 27-year-old is set on sticking it out in Spain rather than packing his bags in January.
It is claimed that English clubs do have potential interest in Alexander-Arnold and have remained attentive to his situation since he left the UK.
Chelsea’s right-back situation under Xabi Alonso
Under Xabi Alonso, Chelsea find themselves sitting pretty at right-back with a mix of world-class quality and raw talent.
When healthy, Reece James remains the gold standard, giving Alonso a dominant presence who can ping passes, drive forward, or shut down wingers without missing a beat. But Malo Gusto is no after-thought. He’s turned into a real weapon with his engine, sharp overlapping runs, and comfort stepping into midfield when Alonso wants a inverted look.
Throw in high-flying youngster Josh Acheampong, who keeps showing he’s ready for minutes, and Alonso has a right-side setup most managers in Europe would kill for. It completely rules out the need to spend big on emergency fixes like Trent Alexander-Arnold.
