Tailback Ken Walker followed up his historic debut with another tremendous performance on Sunday, recording nearly 180 scrimmage yards for the second week in a row, and the ripple effects of that production were evident in the Chiefs' play-action passing game.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 14-of-17 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns while using play-action against the Colts, tallying the most completions off play-action in his brilliant career.
For some more context, the Chiefs ranked last in the NFL in terms of play-action passing yards in 2025 with just 396. Kansas City already has 113 passing yards on play-action through just two games this year, amassing 30% of last season's production in just 12% of the time.
