Browns Send Representatives To Texas-Tennessee With Arch Manning In Spotlight 1
Arch Manning is already drawing extra attention from NFL teams, and the Browns are among the clubs sending multiple representatives to Saturday’s Texas-Tennessee matchup. The visit comes while Cleveland still has questions about its long-term answer at quarterback.
The Texas quarterback is eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft, and PFF currently gives him a path to the top of the class while also pointing to areas where his game still needs work.
Arch Manning Gets Extra NFL Attention in Knoxville
ESPN’s Jordan Reid reported that Cleveland is sending several representatives to the Texas-Tennessee game. Other NFL teams are also expected to attend, so the Browns’ presence should not be treated as proof that Arch Manning is their preferred target.

The trip still gives Cleveland another chance to evaluate a quarterback already near the top of the early 2027 NFL Draft discussion. A live game also allows scouts to study details that may not be as clear on earlier film.
According to PFF, Manning enters the matchup with 658 passing yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions through Texas’ first three games. Those numbers show that he has protected the ball while producing touchdowns. However, his film has also raised questions about his accuracy, footwork and ability to handle pressure consistently.

Saturday’s game should give scouts more useful information. Tennessee presents a major road test, and Cleveland can evaluate Manning against a ranked SEC opponent rather than relying solely on his previous performances.
Cleveland’s current quarterback room makes the trip matter
The timing becomes more important when the Browns’ own depth chart is considered. Cleveland opened the season with Deshaun Watson as its starter and Shedeur Sanders as the backup, while rookie Taylen Green remains the third quarterback. Dillon Gabriel is on injured reserve.
Watson missed the entire 2025 season while recovering from an Achilles injury before returning this year. Sanders is now in his second season after making seven starts as a rookie. Those quarterbacks give Cleveland options for the present, but the front office still must decide on its long-term plan.

The connection between Cleveland and Manning is not new. A PFF mock draft published in April projected the Browns to select him with the fourth overall pick. However, mock drafts are only projections, and both the draft order and player evaluations can change during a full college season.
Cleveland’s presence in Knoxville does not confirm that Manning is part of its future plans. It only shows that the Browns are gathering information early. The Texas-Tennessee matchup gives them another chance to measure Manning’s current development against a strong opponent.
Cleveland does not need to decide on Arch Manning now. The team only needs to determine whether his performance makes him worth watching more closely as the 2027 NFL Draft approaches.
