The moment came during Green Bay’s 35-14 home-opener loss to Atlanta at Lambeau Field, a game the Packers were expected to control after the Falcons opened the season 0-2. Atlanta scored 27 unanswered points, racked up 498 total yards, and controlled the ball for more than 37 minutes on the way to the win.
Two straight drops to open the fourth quarter pushed the deficit past 20 points, and that stretch is what pushed Clark to check her own pulse in the stands.
“I was just doing it just to kind of relieve my own stress, and make my dad laugh and make myself giggle in such a hard time for us cheeseheads,” Clark told reporters. “Apparently I made the rest of America giggle as well.”

That connection is part of why Thursday’s loss hit as hard as it did, even if her on-camera reaction turned into comic relief for a stadium that had little else to cheer about.

Thursday’s loss added to a rough start for Green Bay, now 1-2 through three weeks under head coach Matt LaFleur. LaFleur kept his response short after the game, offering no excuses for an offensive line that allowed constant pressure or a run game that finished with just 17 yards on nine carries.
“I think we’ve got to continue to work with these guys and try to figure out what we do well,” LaFleur said. “Because right now I don’t know what we’re doing well offensively.”
The reaction outside the building has been just as pointed. Robert Griffin III said the Packers looked broken and argued that LaFleur, Love, and general manager Brian Gutekunst all received offseason extensions that now carry real weight if the losing continues.
