A handful of former Indiana Hoosiers are already making their mark on the 2026 NFL season. The Hoosiers had eight players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, adding to the historic aspects of Curt Cignetti's tenure i Bloomington.
Players such as Kaelon Black and Kahlil Benson are making immediate impacts as rookies, which continues to show that the Indiana to the NFL pipeline continues to thrive. Other former Hoosiers are also scattered throughout NFL active rosters and practice squads. No matter where you look, former Hoosiers are well-represented in the NFL ranks.

Unfortunately, several former IU players have found themselves battling injuries early on this season. Omar Cooper Jr. has landed on IR after just two games, as was his Jets teammate and former Hoosier Marcelino McCrary-Ball. Mikail Kamara was placed on IR before the season even started.
