Liverpool have unveiled a personalised style ahead of the Merseyside derby at Anfield.
Liverpool have had plenty to focus on this season, and while much of the attention understandably falls on the men’s side, the club’s women’s team are preparing for one of the biggest fixtures on the domestic calendar with a fresh twist away from the pitch.
Ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside derby at Anfield, LFC Women have teamed up with the club’s official formal fashion wear partner to bring something new to matchday.
Working alongside Tommy Hilfiger, the entire Liverpool Women’s squad will each wear individually styled outfits drawn from the brand’s autumn 2026 collection as they arrive for the derby.
Rather than a uniform look, every player has curated her own take on a classic American inspired aesthetic, blending what the club describes as New York prep with the identity of Anfield itself.
It marks the first time an approach like this has been seen in the Barclays Women’s Super League, with the partnership, originally announced back in January, now taking on a more personal dimension for the players involved.
The collection leans into familiar prep staples, among them cable knit polos, tailored outerwear and denim across a variety of washes, finished with seasonal colours and touches of red, white and blue.
The idea, according to the club, is a wardrobe that can move comfortably between smart and relaxed, mirroring the different personalities within the squad.
Captain Grace Fisk spoke about what the initiative means to the players, describing her own approach as understated, favouring comfort without excess on matchday, while noting that despite everyone’s individual style, the squad remains united once they step out together as a team.
Tommy Hilfiger himself also touched on the collaboration, framing it as a chance to spotlight the players’ personalities away from football and celebrate the women helping shape the sport’s growing profile, tying the initiative into the brand’s long standing connection with sport, fashion and culture more broadly.
The timing is significant given the occasion itself.
Sunday’s derby offers Liverpool Women a high profile platform, and pairing that with a fashion first for the league adds another layer of attention to a fixture that already carries plenty of weight on its own.
It also reflects a wider trend across women’s football, where clubs and brands are increasingly finding ways to present players as individuals rather than simply members of a squad, giving supporters a closer look at who they are off the pitch.
With Anfield set to host the occasion and a new partnership angle adding extra intrigue, Sunday’s derby looks set to be a notable day for LFC Women both in terms of the football and the story building around it, as the club continues expanding how it presents its women’s team to a growing audience.
