The NFL's international series of games continues on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys in Brazil, and of course the league wants to provide a halftime performance for the game.
Superstar latin singer Ricky Martin will headline the show, but since he is not a Brazilian native, Martin is bringing one with him to perform as well. That would be Pedro Sampaio, a popular singer from Rio de Janeiro who will get to perform in his home city.
Sampaio may not be well-known in the United States, but he is increasingly popular in Latin and South American countries like Brazil. The artist will provide a local touch to Martin's halftime show.

Who is Pedro Sampaio?
Pedro Sampaio is a 28-year-old Brazilian singer, music producer and DJ who is among the country's biggest native musical acts. Sampaio has released several albums life Chama Meu Nome in 2022 and Astro, 2024 and Sequências #1 in 2025., and he was nominated for several awards in Brazil, including a Latin Grammy in 2024. Sampaio also has over 14 billion audio and video streams on Spotify.
Sampaio said performing the Halftime Show alongside Ricky Martin at Maracanã Stadium is a dream of his, as he grew up so close to the stadium.
"I grew up in Rio de Janeiro, seeing Maracanã Stadium as a place where history was made. I never imagined that my first time performing on that field would be alongside Ricky Martin, who has always been a huge inspiration to me. It's hard to put into words," he said, via NFL.com. "Maracanã is part of the history of both sports and music, and being part of this moment—especially at the first NFL game in my hometown—is something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. I'm incredibly happy and grateful to be part of a night that will go down in history."
Sampaio's career began when he was a teenager who remixed songs on YouTube, and that led to him getting signed by Warner Music Brazil in 2018. Sampaio's Latin Grammy nomination in 2024 was not for his own work, but instead for being featured on "Jorge Pra Lu" by Anitta.
