Barcelona are monitoring the situation of Chelsea attacker Estevao Willian, according to SPORT.
Since arriving in West London from Palmeiras, Estevao has shown flashes of his immense talent, including a memorable strike against Barcelona in last season’s Champions League.
However, tactical adjustments and fierce competition for places have limited his playing time in the early weeks of the 2026-27 campaign, with the teenager yet to start a league match.
This lack of action has inevitably fuelled speculation about his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona’s hierarchy, led by sporting director Deco, have long admired the 19-year-old winger.
The Catalan club could test Chelsea’s resolve if Estevao continues to find first-team opportunities limited.
Despite the outside noise and swirling transfer rumours, Estevao has recently played down talk of an imminent exit.
Speaking on international duty with Brazil, the forward emphasised his commitment to working hard in training, earning the coaching staff’s trust, and maximising every opportunity on the pitch.
Chelsea, for their part, view Estevao as a key part of their long-term plans. With a contract running until 2033, the Blues are under no pressure to part with one of world football’s most prized young talents.
Nevertheless, if his pathway to the starting XI remains blocked as the season progresses, Barcelona and other top European clubs are likely to stand ready to test Chelsea’s resolve.
Estevao produced an uninspiring display in Brazil’s recent 1-1 draw with Australia and will hope to impress when the sides meet again on Tuesday.
