The summer transfer window may have only recently closed, but Arsenal are already being linked with a host of potential new signings for the future. The Gunners brought in four new faces in the summer, but were heavily linked with several more making the switch to Emirates Stadium.
Ezri Konsa, Christos Tzolis, Bruno Guimaraes and Illan Meslier all signed for Arsenal in the summer, but the Gunners also explored a deal to bring in another new forward before the window closed.
Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. and Atletico Madrid attacker Julian Alvarez were both linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, but neither went on to leave their current clubs.
Now, there have been fresh reports linking the Gunners with some more potential new signings with the January transfer window a few months away from opening.
Here, football.london takes a look at some of the latest Arsenal transfer news and gossip…
Erling Haaland 'contacted'
Arsenal have reportedly approached Erling Haaland’s representatives over a potential deal for the Manchester City striker. The update comes after reports emerged claiming that City had been found guilty of alleged financial breaches brought against them by the Premier League.
It has been reported by Football Insider that Arsenal, as well as Real Madrid, have made contact with Haaland’s representatives after the guilty verdict reports.
The Gunners are reported to be looking to take advantage of the uncertainty that is likely to surround some members of the City squad.
Despite the reports suggesting Arsenal’s potential interest in Haaland, it’s highly unlikely that the Gunners would explore a deal to sign the Norway international.
It's no secret that Arsenal are keen to sign a new forward, but Haaland's reported £500,000-a-week wages would almost certainly rule out a move in any case.
Some Gunners fans would no doubt be keen to see this happen, but it is far away from becoming a reality any time soon.

Kevin Schade interest
Arsenal are reportedly one of two Premier League clubs to express an interest in signing Brentford star Kevin Schade.
Sky Sports have reported that the Gunners are joined by Liverpool in showing an interest in the Germany international, who has enjoyed an impressive start to the season with the Bees.
The report goes on to say, though, that Brentford have already explored awarding Schade a new contract amid apparent interest from Arsenal.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also mentioned as having an interest in Schade, but that Arsenal and Liverpool have been the most “keen” to explore a deal for the versatile forward.
